The Far Eastern University Tamaraws finally capped their 20th Championship Crown after beating the University of Sto. Tomas Growling Tigers in the three game Finals series in the UAAP Season 78 Senior Men's Basketball.

The FEU Tamaraws tried to avoid another heartbreaks in three tries in the recent history to finally get the championship that they last held ten years ago. The last time they had their trophy was in 2005 with now PBA veterans Arwin Santos, Jeff Chan and Mark Isip.

Alumni and fans from both schools cheered to boost their teams in the Final game of the series but the tears of joy went to the FEU crowd.

FEU Tamaraws won the first game of the series but fell in the second game. The UST Growling Tigers did not let their chances fall in the Game 2.

In the third game, the Tigers were leading by 6 points with more than 4 minutes remaining to play in the fourth quarter. They suddenly melt down when Mac Belo of FEU went back to the game. Tolomia and Pogoy scored important and turnaround points for the Tamaraws.

For UST Growling Tigers, this is the third time they lost in the Finals since winning the title in 2006 against Ateneo De Manila University Eagles.
