It is summer again, in the Philippines, and we take a look back to a beautiful 2009 blockbuster romantic comedy drama film, the 500 Days of Summer starring Zooney Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

This is a story about Tom, an architect, who works as an artist in a greeting card company who fell in love with Summer, a co-worker who never believed in true love but dated him anyway.

500 days of Summer is narrated in a nonlinear format narrating 500 days of falling in love and being heart broken and falling in love again.

Narrative telling of the story is superb. The film will tell you the end but hope for the better ending for Tom, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, but continue with the plot. It will excite you but will also make you a little bit tensed.

The writing of the story is very witty, entertaining and romantic. You will not want to blink an eye for every start of the period or the numbers of day. The film will also make your brain working as the nonlinear narration will panic you and make think again on where are you now in the film while it entertains you a lot.

This is a very rare movie you see for this kind of genre.
